Our Desert Safari Experience
We have operated desert safaris from the Lahbab red dunes since 2018. Our evening safari route covers the same dunes used by professional rally drivers — steep faces, sharp ridges, and long bowls that make the dune bashing genuinely exciting. We are not a reseller. When you book with us, you ride in our vehicles, eat at our camp, and are hosted by our team. Every safari is led by our own licensed drivers who have a minimum of 5 years of desert driving experience.
Our camp sits in Al Lahbab, about 45 minutes southeast of Dubai Marina. The red sand dunes here are taller and more dramatic than what you'll find closer to the city. We chose Lahbab because the terrain is better for dune bashing and the sunsets are unobstructed — no buildings, no highways, just open desert. Most guests tell us the drive from the highway to camp is when it clicks: this is what a desert safari is actually supposed to feel like.
How Dubai Desert Tour Started
Dubai Desert Tour began in 2018 with 3 Land Cruisers and a single desert camp at Lahbab. The idea was simple: offer the same desert safari experience that the big agencies sell, but without the middleman markup. No commission to hotels, no cuts to booking platforms — just a direct booking at the best price.
Since then, we have grown to a fleet of 20+ vehicles, multiple quad bikes, dune buggies in both 2-seater and 4-seater configurations, and 2 desert camps. We have hosted over 7,800 guests from 60+ countries. Our Google rating is 4.8/5 based on verified reviews.
Our Fleet & Team
Toyota Land Cruisers (2021-2024 models) with roll cages, 5-point harnesses, and reinforced suspension. Every vehicle is safety-inspected monthly and serviced at our own workshop.
Yamaha 250cc (beginner) and 450cc (experienced) ATVs with automatic transmission. Full safety gear provided — helmet, goggles, and gloves included with every session.
Polaris RZR 570 (2-seater) and Polaris RZR XP (4-seater) with roll cage, 4-point harness, and automatic transmission. Self-drive with a guide vehicle leading the way.
Toyota Hiace (groups) and Nissan Patrol (private tours) with AC. All city tour vehicles are equipped with WiFi and bottled water.
Our drivers aren't new to the dunes. The average experience across our team is over 6 years of daily desert driving. They know every ridge and slip face in Lahbab — and they adjust the intensity based on your group.

Safety & Licensing
We are licensed by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET). Our desert safari operations are covered by comprehensive insurance. All drivers hold valid UAE driving licenses with desert driving certification. Our camp operates under Dubai Municipality food safety guidelines.
Every vehicle in our fleet is safety-inspected monthly at our own workshop. All drivers complete our internal dune-driving certification — a 40-hour program — before their first guest tour. Our camp has first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, and emergency communication equipment on-site. We enforce a maximum dune-bashing speed policy and seatbelt rules — the experience is thrilling but controlled. For families, we offer reduced-intensity dune driving on request.
