Private Desert Safari Dubai — Any Safari, Your Group Only

You don't need a special "private package" to get a private desert safari. Every safari we run can be booked shared or private. Go private and your group gets its own Toyota Land Cruiser for the whole trip, from your hotel door through the dunes and back, with nobody else in the car. We operate the vehicles and the camp ourselves at the Lahbab red dunes and have since 2018, so the prices below are live operator rates rather than a reseller's markup.

Pick your safari, then pick shared or private

Shared is the budget way in: you share the 4x4 with other guests. Private adds one flat fee (AED 450) for the whole car, whatever your group size up to 6. The two morning tours skip the choice entirely because they're priced per vehicle, so the car is yours either way.

What you get when you go private

The same Land Cruiser that collects you from your hotel is the one that takes you over the dunes, so a private car means private dune bashing too. Your driver picks up only your group (anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman), you leave when you're ready rather than when the last hotel stop is done, and if someone in your group wants the driving gentler, or wilder, you just say so. Worth knowing before you pay: the evening camp itself is shared with other guests. Your table is yours; the fire show isn't. If you want empty desert, book the morning safari. At 8am the dunes are basically yours.

Also private: buggies you drive yourself, and day tours

Private safari questions, answered straight

What exactly becomes private when I add the private car?

The vehicle, for the whole trip. Your group gets its own Toyota Land Cruiser from your hotel door to the dunes and back at the end of the night. No strangers in the car, no waiting at other hotels, and the driver works around your group. It's one flat AED 450 for the car, not per person.

How much does a private desert safari in Dubai cost?

Take the shared per-person price in the table above and add AED 450 once for the whole car. That's it. A family of five pays five shared seats plus one car fee, which usually lands well under what "private safari" packages cost elsewhere, because you're only paying extra for the vehicle you actually use. The morning safari skips the sum entirely: it's already one flat price per 4x4.

Is the desert camp private too?

No, and we'd rather tell you that here than have you find out at dinner. The evening camp is shared with other guests; your group gets its own table for the BBQ and the shows. If you want the desert with nobody around, the morning safari is the one. Your own 4x4, and dunes that are close to empty at 8am.

How do I book a safari as private?

Tap "Book private" on any safari above. The booking page opens with the private car already selected, and you'll see the exact total for your group before paying. Or book shared and it simply skips that add-on. Changed your mind after booking? You can add the private car later from your booking page.

How many people fit in one private Land Cruiser?

Six comfortably. Bigger group? We add a second 4x4 and the cars travel together. We run multi-vehicle convoys for families and company groups every week, so WhatsApp us at +971 55 207 7009 with your group size and we'll price it as one booking.

When is private worth the extra cost?

Split AED 450 across a family of five and it's small money for having the car to yourselves, especially with kids, or if the idea of sharing dune bashing with strangers puts you off. Solo travellers and couples on a budget usually stick with shared. That's what it's for.

Which tours are private without paying anything extra?

The morning desert safari, the morning quad bike combo and both city tours are priced per vehicle, so the 4x4 is yours either way. Dune buggies are self-drive: the buggy only ever seats your own people.
